HOW IT WORK
Stage 1 CWL – Primary Treatment
Raw wastewater enters the first vertical flow bed. Aerobic conditions facilitate organic matter degradation and nitrification.
Stage 2 CWL – Polishing
The second bed enhances nitrification/denitrification, ensuring high nitrogen removal efficiency even under variable conditions.
Recirculation
The recirculation process enhances treatment efficiency by increasing the interaction between wastewater and the wetland’s components, thereby fostering favorable conditions for microbial activity. By channeling nitrate-rich effluent from Stage 2 back to Stage 1, the system creates an optimal environment for denitrification, leading to substantially improved total nitrogen removal.
Tertiary Filtration & UV
Selective media filtration removes phosphorus, heavy metals, and trace organics. Final UV disinfection ensures water reuse safety.
